You’re trying to eat healthy and you know that means choosing plenty of fruits vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein. But another consideration is: Should you buy Organic?
Being overweight contributes directly to many illnesses, many of which are deadly. If you are one of the many who have battled with weight loss and have been unsuccessful, you are not alone! There must be some other possible reason, because simply eating less food didn’t work.
In the past, being overweight was a lot less common in society. No one ate fast foods or pre-packaged items from supermarkets or 7-eleven; they just didn’t exist. Everything was fresh and what they did buy from a store was organic.
Calories In/Calories Out, is only one part of solution
Eating less, move more; this is generally the way people think they will lose weight. The problem is that simply eating the same foods you always do leaves you with cravings and feeling deprived. You eat less and move more, but your weight doesn't budge and frustration and depression mounts. So what is the problem here? The problem is the types of foods we all eat. We’re surrounded by foods designed to make our hectic lives easier and faster and health doesn't necessarily factor into that equation. Just about every item you see packaged in a local supermarket is loaded with extra fillers, chemicals and hidden sugars and starches. Some of the ingredients in those foods are not only horrific for the metabolic system, but they also pose dangerous risks to your health in the long run.
Common chemicals found in everyday foods that you’ll encounter in any supermarket include:
- Growth hormones
- Aspartame and other artificial sweeteners
- trans fats
- GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms)
Another serious nightmare in the weight loss conundrum is High Fructose Corn Syrup. It is a sweetener that is far worse than processed sugar. It is man-made and harder for the body to process. Instead of turning the sweetener into nutrients, it becomes toxins that are stored in the body’s fat cells because it is foreign to the body. Even worse, those toxins prevent the body from using good energy stored in those cells, and could even cause tumors.
if you want to stay healthy and lose weight more efficiently, get away from toxins and chemicals by following an organic diet. If you begin reading food labels (even the so-called 'healthy' products), you'll be horrified at what you find. These foreign ingredients are everywhere! If you don't know what it is or cannot pronounce it, the ingredient is likely unhealthy. I challenge you to start reading the ingredients of what you're buying and consuming.
Is Organic Food Better for Weight Loss?
Why are Processed foods Weight Loss Killers?
Those chemicals are not only dangerous, they are very addictive. They trigger chemicals in the brain that block leptin, a protein in the brain that regulates metabolism and gives you the feeling of fullness that lets you stop eating. You feel like you have no self-control and your body craves more and misinterprets signals and thinks it is still hungry.
Why Organic Foods can help with weight control?
No chemicals in the foods mean no addiction, no cravings and no deadly side effects. It might take a few days, or even few weeks to get used to eating clean, but eating foods that are natural is the best way to clean up your system and get your hormones flowing properly and your metabolism working optimally.
What you eat is as important as how much you eat.
We only think of calories. An example of the difference in quality between calories, if you were to eat a 100 calorie donut, your body would have to attempt to process the chemicals, In addition to the difficulty of using what little nutrients actually exist in those donut, the chemicals in them would leave you waning desperately to reach for a second donut. Conversely, if you eat 100 calories of organic berries that delivered 100% real food quality and no chemicals or additives, your body would make complete use of the food and there wouldn’t be the cravings or the dangers that exist in the pack of cookies.
There are so many reasons why organic foods are better for you, and help promote healthy weight loss that will stay off. Natural, organic foods are higher in fiber. That helps you feel full, and is easy for your body to process. If you feel that eating organic food is too expensive, simply start with the dirty dozen. Start to be diligent in reading labels and follow this simple philosophy: If you can’t pronounce the ingredients – don’t buy it and don't eat it.
