WHAT CAUSES THE RELEASE of FAT FROM THE CELL?
- The fat trapped in a cell is composed of triaglycerol, a type of fat (lipid) found in your blood. In order to release the trapped fat, the triaglycerol’s molecule must first be split.
- The enzyme that makes this split happen is known as hormone sensitive lipase (HSL). When it is activated, the trapped fat is then released into the bloodstream in the form of Free Fatty Acids (FFA’s) which are propelled to muscles where energy is needed.
- The more blood that reaches the muscles being worked, the more FFA’s are delivered to those muscles.

I often see and hear of women training their legs like they were men! Worse, I have seen some trainers taking their female clients through exercises that could actually WIDEN their upper thighs! Is that what you want? WIDER THIGHS? NOT ME!
Men and women are not only different in physical appearance, but women possess more of the Type 2 muscle FIBERS, the slow burners that sustain endurance. That means, it would be fundamentally incorrect for us to train like men, who have an abundance of TYPE 1 muscles fibers. That’s the equivalent of making a female who wants lean and slender muscles, train like a bodybuilder or power-lifter.
SO are you certain you are not training like a male would for leg development?
I designed Seriously Sexy Legs specifically for women. You see, ladies, it’s not just about doing the right exercises, there is also a specific order of execution for maximum progress. You need to know how many sets to perform, rest time, and so on. I know it might sound daunting, but I have designed this program to be very easy to follow.
We are not using the techniques that men rely on in the gym. There is no “one rep max” here to help you get “gains.” There are no exercises that make the legs thicker and grow bulky muscle. No, I am going to train you for a lean and sexy look, and you won’t get that by just following some general exercise program in a female fitness magazine. We have to get specific!
I have been in and out of gyms for many years, doing every conceivable type of exercise, classes, aerobics and the like. One day after a particularly challenging set, I looked around and saw something I had never taken much notice of; I was the only person not standing still between sets! People were sitting on machines, chatting with others, counting down their rest period, some were texting, others were in the “zone.” I was doing something no one else was, which turned out to be my secret weapon for leaner legs!
Now, I am going to arm you with that same weapon!
Our bodies get used to whichever way we exercise and they produce some results, and then the results stop, which CRUSH motivation. If we want to SEE CHANGES, we have to KEEP MAKING CHANGES to the way we exercise.
In the 2010 study including members of the †† Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales, results showed that women in a particular group lost significantly more subcutaneous fat (2.5 kg) than another group who had been following the same routine over and over for weeks.
† in 2004, the Hoorn Study was compiled by several Medical Doctors and PHD’s for the American Diabetes Association and concluded that given the same conditions of sugar present in the body, men STILL DO NOT develop leg fat the way women do. In fact, men had tighter and leaner legs, with leaner tissue than women had and EVEN WHEN THE MEN HAD MORE SUGAR PRESENT IN THEIR SYSTEMS THAN THE WOMEN DID! — WHAT THE HECK? NOT FAIR!!! I TOLD you we are facing a STACKED DECK!!!
